HyperKewl ™ Cooling Products
Due to the combination of special fabrics and fibers, a particular water management system is created: HyperKewl ™. This material absorbs and stores water in order then to evaporate the water. This energy is used and creates a cooling effect. HyperKewl ™ material works the same way as our bodies - by evaporation technique.
How does it work?
HyperKewl ™ products use polymer to absorb water. The chemical reaction creates a long-lasting cooling effect by evaporation of the water. Users of the HyperKewl ™ products can expect a cooling effect which is 6 to 9 degrees less than the ambient temperature. The exact temperature depends on various environmental variables such as humidity, air flow, and the like. Note that very high humidity of more than 90%, the fabric's ability to evaporate water will deminish, and will only provide cooling with significant airflow i.e. on a motorbike.
How to activate the product?
In order to activate a HyperKewl ™ product, it has to be submerged for 1-2 minutes in water so that the material can absorb the water. Wring the product gently to remove any excess water. The cooling product is then ready for use and will remain activated for hours.
When and for whom the products are suitable?
DryKewl ™ Cooling Products
The DryKewl ™ cooling products use the patented HyperKewl ™ fabric. The evaporation technique works the same, but the products remain completely dry. The HyperKewl ™ material is conceived in a waterproof fabric in which the water is evaporated well, but the water remains inside the material. DryKewl ™ cooling products are simply activated and quickly charged. You remove the special cooling inserts out of the product, immerse it in water and put them back into the product.
How does it work?
DryKewl ™ cooling products use the special patented HyperKewl ™ fabric in combination with waterproof nylon material. As a result, the water remains in the special cooling inserts and cools the product by means of evaporation technique. The product and the user of this product remain completely dry. Users of the DryKewl ™ products can expect a cooling effect which is 6 to 9 degrees less than the ambient temperature. The exact temperature depends on various environmental variables such as humidity, air flow, and the like. Note that very high humidity of more than 90% will stop the evaporation ability of the fabric and the product will not cool.
How to activate the product?
To activate a DryKewl ™ product, remove the loose inserts and immerse them in water for 1-2 minutes so that the cooling insert can absorb the water. Wring gently to remove any excess water. Place the cooling inserts back into the product by means of Velcro strips
The cooling product is then ready for use and will spend hours chilling.
When and for whom the products are suitable?
- Suitable for anyone who works or recreates outdoors in warm weather.
- Suitable for warm, dry climate.
TechKewl ™ Cooling Products
The TechKewl ™ cooling products are designed to achieve a specific cooling temperature. The technique (Cooling Phase Change Materials) operates as follows. The PCM materials used are non-toxic, non-flammable and non-combustable. The PCM materials are sealed in a very strong polyurethane so they do not leak. This durable elements, Coolpax, are put into a refrigerator, freezer or ice-water that need to have a temperature of lower than 14 degrees Celsius. You can also freeze this Coolpax in a container with ice. The PCM material freezes quickly and is long frozen.
How to I activate the product?
You insert the supplied Cool Pax in the refrigerator, freezer or in ice water. They will recharge in any environment with a temperature below 14 degrees Celsius. After a maximum of 45 minutes, the Coolpax are completely frozen and you can place them into the cooling product.
How long will the product cool ?
Depending on the product, the product cools up to 4 hours at a constant 14 degrees.
